NexMove
by K-NEX Coming soon for Windows
Move out of Dropbox or OneDrive.
Then cancel with confidence.
NexMove copies every file to its new home, checks each one against the original, and tells you when it is safe to stop paying for the old plan. No settings, no disk space, and no servers in between — not ours, not anyone’s.
- Dropbox → Google Drive
- Dropbox → OneDrive
- OneDrive → Google Drive
- Runs on your own PC
- Never deletes your originals
- Every file verified
- One-time price
/ HOW IT WORKS
Four steps. You only click.
You sign in on Dropbox’s, Microsoft’s and Google’s own pages. NexMove never sees your passwords.
Pick your move
Dropbox to Google Drive, Dropbox to OneDrive, or OneDrive to Google Drive.
Sign in to both
NexMove shows how much there is to move, and checks there is enough free space where it is going.
Copy and verify
Files are copied into a new folder called “From Dropbox” or “From OneDrive”, then every file is compared with the original.
Cancel or downgrade
When everything matches, NexMove tells you it is safe and shows you what to do before you cancel Dropbox or change your OneDrive plan.
/ WHY NEXMOVE
Built for people who just want it done, safely.
Moving files by hand works for a few folders. With years of photos and documents, it is easy to miss something and only find out after you cancel.
NO MIDDLEMAN
No servers in between — not ours, not anyone’s
Your files travel from your Dropbox or OneDrive, through your own PC, into your Google Drive or OneDrive. No K-NEX server or third-party cloud ever sees or stores a copy.
ORIGINALS SAFE
Your originals are left untouched
NexMove only copies from your Dropbox or OneDrive. It never changes, moves or deletes anything there, so your originals are safe until you decide to cancel.
NO DISK SPACE
Your hard drive stays free
Files stream through your PC’s memory, piece by piece. Nothing is saved to your hard drive, so even a nearly full laptop can move a large Dropbox or OneDrive.
VERIFIED
Nothing left behind
When copying finishes, every folder and file is checked against the original. You see exactly what matched, and anything that needs a second look.
RESUMES
Stop and carry on
Close the laptop or lose Wi-Fi halfway. Next time you press Start, NexMove skips everything already copied and moves only what is left. No side-by-side windows, no hunting for what is missing.
LIGHT
Use your PC as usual while it copies
NexMove is light. In our test on a modest 4-core PC it used about 4% of the processor and under 400 MB of memory while copying, so you can keep browsing, working or watching. Gentle speed leaves room on your internet, too.
/ EVERYTHING IT DOES
Everything NexMove does for you.
One button to start. Behind it, all of this.
Moving
- Dropbox to Google Drive, Dropbox to Microsoft OneDrive, or Microsoft OneDrive to Google Drive
- Copy everything, or pick folders and single files
- A folder for each account, named after it, so two accounts never mix
- Checks there is enough free space before it starts
Your pace
- Gentle speed by default, leaving room for TV and video calls; full speed when you want it
- Pause for 30 minutes to 4 hours and it carries on by itself, or pause until you are ready
- Carries on where it stopped after a restart or a lost connection
- Keeps your PC awake while it copies, and tells you when it is done
Safety
- Read-only access to the account you move from: it can't change or delete anything there
- You sign in on Dropbox’s, Google’s and Microsoft’s own pages; NexMove never sees your passwords
- Files pass through your own PC, never anyone else’s server, and nothing is saved on it
- Shows the email of each account, so you know exactly what is going where
Before you cancel
- Every file checked after copying, with a list of any that need another go
- A checklist for shared links, phone photos and where you pay
- A free test copy of up to 200 MB, with an estimate of how long the whole move will take
- A Get help button in the app, if you get stuck
/ WHAT YOU NEED
What you need.
NexMove is light: it runs only while you use it, and nothing keeps running in the background afterwards.
- Windows
- Windows 10 or Windows 11, 64-bit
- Memory
- 4 GB of RAM or more. NexMove itself uses under 400 MB, even while copying.
- Disk space
- About 450 MB for the app. Nothing extra for your files: they are not saved on your PC.
- Internet
- A broadband connection. For a big move, a cable to your router is faster and smoother than Wi-Fi.
- Accounts
- The Dropbox or Microsoft OneDrive account you are moving from, and a Google Drive or Microsoft OneDrive account with enough free space to move to.
- While it copies
- Keep the PC on and online. NexMove stops it going to sleep, and you can keep using it.
- Sign-in
- The web browser you normally use, to sign in to each account once.
/ PRICE
Pay once. No subscription.
Moving away from a subscription shouldn’t mean starting another one.
- Free to install, sign in and preview
- Free test copy up to 200 MB
- Pay only when you copy everything
- One licence for each account you move from, Dropbox or OneDrive
FAQ
Which moves does NexMove do, and which not?
Three, in one app. You pick one when you open it:
- Dropbox → Google Drive
- Dropbox → OneDrive
- OneDrive → Google Drive
It does not do:
- Moves out of Google Drive, such as Google Drive → Dropbox or Google Drive → OneDrive.
- Moves into Dropbox, such as OneDrive → Dropbox.
- Moves within one service, such as one Dropbox or OneDrive account to another.
- Work or school OneDrive (OneDrive for Business) or SharePoint. Only personal Microsoft accounts.
- Files in OneDrive Personal Vault. Move them out of the vault first.
- Other services, such as iCloud Drive, Box or Mega.
Does NexMove delete anything where my files are now?
No. NexMove only copies from your Dropbox or OneDrive. It never changes, moves or deletes anything there. You decide when to cancel.
Can K-NEX see my files?
No. NexMove runs on your own Windows PC. Your files go from Dropbox or OneDrive to your computer and on to Google Drive or OneDrive. There are no servers in between, not ours and not anyone else’s. See our Privacy Policy.
Do I need free space on my computer?
No. Unlike copying between two cloud desktop apps, NexMove never saves your files to your hard drive. You only need room to install the app.
What can NexMove see where my files go?
In Google Drive, only the files it creates: it cannot see or change any of your other Google Drive files. OneDrive has no permission that narrow, so NexMove asks for access to your OneDrive files, but it only adds its own folder and does not change or delete anything else. Your files go into a new folder called “From Dropbox” or “From OneDrive”.
What if my internet drops halfway?
Open NexMove again and press Start. It checks what has already arrived and copies only the files that are still missing. Files already copied are not copied again.
I have two accounts. Do I need two licences?
Yes. One licence moves one account you move from, a Dropbox or a OneDrive. Where the files go does not matter.
Do I need to keep my computer on?
Yes, while it copies. Your files travel through your own PC instead of someone else’s server, which is what keeps them private. You can keep using your computer, or leave it on overnight. If it goes to sleep, shuts down or loses internet, nothing is lost: open NexMove again and it copies only the files that are left.
